Curvilinear principles define my approach to fine art marble sculpture. Not to say that I am a slave to the concept of curved lines and shapes that embrace organic and flowing forms. Or the indisputable fact that by removing so much material from within a bowl that a carving that would weigh hundreds of pound is now light enough to pick up and move around. It’s just that, in my opinion, hand carved marble bowls are some of the most lovely shapes and silhouettes I have ever encountered. Plus, as an added bonus, given the thinness of a Curvilinear marble bowl’s walls, the gorgeous effect of light penetrating and illuminating the marble from within is something that has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. Pictures do not begin to portray the full grandeur of this scarcely seen miraculous spectacle. THAT’s why I love my signature Hand Carved Marble Bowls. They are simply stunning.
