Along The Way is one of the largest of my signature Hand Carved Marble Bowls and was carved from the second of two blocks that appear to have shared a similar history – that is, they arrived at my workshop looking both well traveled but none the worse for wear. Structurally they seemed sound and neither gave the appearance of harboring a single crack, fracture, or any such deterioration in the marble.

As a matter of fact Along The Way proved a positive delight to carve, and unlike her sister On The Cusp  I actually encountered no surprises along the way ! To me the curvaceous nature of this bowl’s swooping curves serve amply to illustrate the very essence of my signature Curvilinear Marble Sculpture.  For here we have a bowl that not only fully embraces the concept of curvilinear sculpture, but  positively flaunts it.  In fact, she really is just one big curve – all of her – making her a cinch to pick up and move around, and the belle of the ball when it comes to banquets displays.
