If summer’s lease hath all too short a date, then winter’s lease hath yet to show it’s face. True, nighttime temperatures can and do dip down into the single digits Fahrenheit, but as far as good old fashioned Colorado Rocky Mountain winters go – we currently find ourselves ‘on hold’.

Plants that just months, weeks, ago were packed full of vim and vigor are now dried to a skeletal crisp.

Deer chewed and bird picked, our gorgeous sunflower has seen it all. Time to go back to the earth.
