Four Corners holds an unusual distinction within the Maiden Collection hand carved marble bowls in that, while conforming to curvilinear concepts of sweeping curves, thin walls, bold and dramatic outlines, etc., this decidedly spiky bowl boast four very pointy points.  For it was precisely at this point within the collection’s 41 carvings  that I made the conscious decision to steer purposefully away from the curvaceous curvy curves of my earlier work, and onto a more structured, architectural approach.

The result is this tough-as-nails, armor-plated bowl.  Delicate those points may look but I can assure you they have been carved – honed might be a better word – for full absorption in our modern world.  And as for the bowl itself Four Corners presents a fine spectacle when adorned with your favorite fruit, nuts, chocolates, or any sort of goody that you can think of.  The ultimate snacking bowl – I think so.
