My name is Martin Cooney. I am a reductionist stone sculptor and banker mason with 26 years of experience. I hold an NVQ Level Two qualification in Banker Masonry from The City of Bath College (now Bath College) in my native England.

I carve Colorado Yule Marble and Kansas limestone to the highest standard, working directly with the stone using traditional methods refined through decades of practice.

My wife, Kris, and I have lived and worked in Preston, London, and Bath in England, as well as Portland, Oregon, and Woody Creek and Aspen, Colorado. Today, we call Kansas home.

I now carve in the historic red-brick Liberty Building at 121 Liberty Street in Council Grove, Kansas—home of Martin Cooney Stoneworks.
