Blog: Thursday, April 18, 2013 – Its April so of course its snowing

If it’s April in Woody Creek we can hardly feign surprise at the sight of snow

A week or two a go I was sunning myself in The Rocky Mountain English Country Garden.

The garden in all its glory.

Oh to be in England now that April’s there.

Just one of those moments when time, for a split second, appears to stand still.

The 'English Country Garden' comes courtesy of the pristine waters of The Woody Creek itself.

The birds just love the seeds from these native sunflowers.

But in case you can't tell, its bitter cold

Just a few days ago it looked like spring was here to stay

Full of mad ambition I set to laying out The Rocky Mountain English Country Garden with a zeal that only springtime can muster.

Go my winged friends, fly!

Go my winged friends, fly!

Elky has sure moved around the garden but has ultimately seems to found his spot directly across from the Arbor bench.

No two summers are ever the same in the Rocky Mountain English Country Garden.

Early summer and the snow but a distant memory.
