A lovely time of the year.

Ice that only recently held us in its steely grip now frolics to entertain.
~ ~ ~

Confined these days to its brief early morning cameo role this playful springtime ice does never-the-less go to quite impressive lengths to catch the eye, before they themselves join the swelling ranks of migrating ice.

Each and every morning at this time of year the Great Rocky Mountain Ice Migration continues its early morning procession on through the Sculpture Garden and down along the Roaring Fork valley floor.
~ ~ ~

~ ~ ~
Encouragingly, their numbers appear to have risen slightly in recent days.
~ ~ ~
~ ~ ~
“Safe passage my icy friends!”

Deep within the heart of the Sculpture Garden however lurk a decidedly different tribe of Rocky Mountain Ice Creatures…
